We're Ready!

A new school year always brings excitement about seeing old friends and making new ones, learning new subjects, and participating in fun school activities. It also brings questions about important issues such as school calendars and transportation. The back-to-school website is designed to answer those questions and to help students and parents prepare for the new school year. Click back-to-school below to visit.

Back-to-School

6^th Grade Computer Science

1 - 1 1/2" View Binder (so a sheet can be placed in the front and on the spine with the student's name for easy access)

1 - Set of 5-tab binder dividers

The following items do NOT need to be ADDITIONAL to the items listed for the grade level; however, they need access to the following supplies:

    Pencils

    Colored Pencils

    Scissors

    Tape

    Post-It Notes (just 1 pack)

    Glue sticks

    Earbuds or Headphones (they can be Bluetooth wireless or wired to use with the computers in the lab - Windows operating system.)

 

Additional ASK Items (6th Grade) that will be a part of projects they will be constructing (OPTIONAL):

    Index Cards

    Lifesaver Mints (they are being used for "wheels")

    Straws

    Paper Clips

    Glue Sticks for Small Glue Guns

    Painters Tape or Masking Tape

    Wooden Skewers

    Pipe Cleaners

 

7^th Grade Computer Science

Cups or Bowls (to launch a water balloon!)

8^th Grade Computer Science

1 - 3-Ring Binder Pocket (to keep unfinished project work)

 

The following items do NOT need to be ADDITIONAL to the items listed for the grade level; however, they need access to the following supplies:

    Post-It Notes (just 1 pack)

    Glue sticks

We use ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications which allows district, school administrators and teachers to more effectively communicate and engage with families and students. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent using their preferred email address and phone number.

We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences, including when and how they receive notifications.

Edulog is an app that lets parents view the location of their student's school bus to gauge arrival times each day. The app sends a push notification to the parent's smartphone when the bus enters a user-defined geographic area around the stop. Parents only receive access by registering with data unique to their child. It's all information to help parents feel secure about their child's trip on the school bus!
