Mount Pleasant High School is hosting a Freshmen Orientation on July 28, 2025 from 9am to 11am. Join them for a MPHS Tour, Supply lists, and FAQ with Staff and Students. Registration Deadline is May 23, 2025.

Congratulations to our All-County Band performers who participated in the Cabarrus County All-County Band Concert today!

MPMS VEX Robotics Robo Tigers

Congratulations to the MPMS VEX Robotics Robo Tigers for their performance in the February 23rd VEX Robotics Tournament. Also, we want to say a giant thank you to Mike Wallace Racing for sponsoring today’s event, and to MPMS’s Mrs. Quick for organizing the tournament!

MPMS Soil and Water Speech Winners

Three 7th Grade students represented MPMS at the Cabarrus County Soil and Water Speech competition on February 11, 2025. Autum, Avery, and Adalei worked hard to write and prepare their speeches on the importance of preserving wetlands. All three did a great job representing MPMS!

Battle

Battle of the Books Team

On Monday, February 10th, our Battle of the Books Team competed in the county’s Battle of the Books competition. Our Tigers represented well and did a great job in the competition. These students have spent the school year reading and analyzing text from the competition’s reading list to prepare for the competition. We want to recognize these team members for their hard work. We also want to say thank you to Ms. Lyman and Ms. Sirse for coaching the team this year!

Ms. Angelucci Selected as MPMS Beginning Teacher of the Year

We want to say congratulations to our Beginning Teacher of the Year, Ms. Angelucci! Ms. Angelucci just completed her first full year of teaching in 7th Grade. Congratulations Ms. Angelucci!

Congratulations to Ms. Lyndsay Crowder, 8th grade ELA teacher, for being selected as our MPMS Teacher of the Year for 2025!

Congratulations to Ms. Angela Hensley, assistant to Ms. Sipe, for being chosen as our MPMS Teacher Assistant of the Year! We appreciate all that she does for our students!

We want to congratulate our very own Ms. Queen for being recognized as the Cabarrus County Schools' School Psychologist of the Year! We are so very thankful for the work Ms. Queen does for our students and school. Supporting multiple schools is no easy task. Doing it at such an elevated level - even harder. Congratulations Ms. Queen!

MPMS Spelling Bee Champs!

Congratulations to our school Spelling Bee winners: Landon - 1st place and Nicole - 2nd Place! Landon will represent our school in the county spelling bee in January. We are so proud of these students!
